Teenage Heartbreak

Well my oldest had her first heartbreak this week. She and her boyfriend broke up. He was her "real" boyfriend and wow at the memories she brought back for myself. I felt so helpless watching her cry he eyes out until she just could not cry anymore. I talked to her and held her, but as you all know a Mama can comfort, but we are old and cannot relate....lol
I was reminded in that moment that this pain she was feeling was something that I could not take away and all I could do is pray for her and pray to God to take away her pain. God is so awesome!!!! He dried her tears and comforted her heart in so many ways that day. Friends were there for her that she had pushed away at times and new friendships were formed. She did not cry after that day either. I am so proud of how she has handled herself and am grateful that God has taken care of her as always.
Remembering back on the times in my life that I have felt as helpless as a teenager in love I realize that in some cases when I did not turn things over to God that things would have been so much easier if I had just let go in the beginning and let God do his thing!

Praise God for all blessings BIG and small.

Tuesday

I cannot believe it has been since Christmas since I have posted anything!!!
Well, Brian, the girls and I are doing great. Lena had been sick this past week and that was pretty rough, but she is doing much better. Faith got her first prom dress yesterday. She was asked to prom this year and so I guess Brian and I will be going to prom this year!! :) Lena saw her in her dress and said "Sissy, you look like a princess". Lena loves her sissy.

We are hoping to start Lena at the Christian school her in Chipley this year, but it is all in God's hands. Please keep us in your prayers. She will still be 2 when school starts back, but we feel she is ready for the challenge. She is so smart and we want her to reach her full potential. She is like a little sponge and we want her to absorb what she can now. When they hit teenagers, well we have quickly learned that if there was any common since there that when 13 hits it goes out the window. Something about the word teen!! lol Faith is steadily reminding me she will get her permit this year. GOD HELP ME!!!!! Please be careful on the roads come August 8th...lol

Well, I hope you all have a very blessed day! Love you all!
